Edit query
PreviousNext

You can edit an existing Query in your map in two ways.

1. Select a Query topic, click the Query icon, and select Edit query...

The Create/Edit Query window opens (as described in the Create new query topic). The fields contain the Query data. Modify them as you need and click the Refresh Query button.

This action will delete the existing Query results on the map, the updated Query will execute, and new results will populate the Query topic.

Edit a Query via the Query Manager (see below) if you want to edit the Query without affecting the query results. For example, you want to change the Query name or description and do not want to update the Query branch on the map.

Tip: if you do not want to modify a Query in the database but only want to see Query results using the slightly changed criteria, follow all the above steps. Then, instead of using the Refresh Query button click the Express button.

2. Go to the Query Manager, select the desired query and click the pencil icon.

The Create/Edit Query window opens (as described in the Create new query topic). The fields contain the Query data. Modify them as you need and click the Refresh Query button.

Query will be updated in the database and in the queries' list.

If this Query is present in maps, it will fully update during the next Refresh (see the Synchronization topic).
